A new ferry for the Severn Link family!
Posted: 07/05/2010Severn Link has now taken ownership of its second fast ferry. It’s a sister ship to the 34 knot Kvaerner ‘FlyingCat’ catamaran which already resides in Swansea and will complete the initial two-ferry fleet to service the Bristol Channel.
The second ferry, which was purchased from Isle of Wight ferry operators Wightlink, is currently still in Portsmouth awaiting her transfer to join her sister ship in Wales. Like her sister, she’s in the process of undergoing a full renovation, repaint and interior refit, making her ready for service in the UK’s newest ferry company.
